Founded in 2018 and based in Northern Michigan, Wilkins CraftWorks was started from a love for boats and creating long-lasting memories on the water. At Wilkins CraftWorks we build one of a kind classic wooden boats with modern materials and construction methods. Each boat is unique to build and then to enjoy on the water.
Custom wooden boats is our passion, but not everyday is about boats. We also apply our knowledge and skill to create custom architectural components. On the outside we build cupolas, brackets, corbels & arches, curved structural beams for barrel ceilings and roofs just as the architect draws them. For the inside we can build custom furniture pieces, mantels and custom trim details.
Significance of the Loon
Indigenous to the same Northern lakes that our passion for boats and the inspiration for Wilkins CraftWorks was born from, the loon is symbolic of tranquility and the placid waters upon which our boats travel.
